Las Vegas is the top travel destination this holiday season, according to research by the Airlines Reporting Corp. ARC said it processes more than one third of worldwide commercial air travel, giving it the single largest database of U.S. ticketed transactions. According to ARC records, Las Vegas is the No. 1 destination for air travel from December 21 though January 2, followed by Orlando and Los Angeles. Other cities making the top 10 include Chicago, Denver, New York and Dallas/Fort Worth. ARC's research also found that travelers typically avoid flying on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
