Nicholas Clayton, president of Viceroy Hotel Group, announced the recent appointment of Cheryl Bennett as vice president of travel industry sales. Bennett, who will operate from New York City, will oversee the hotel group’s travel industry segment with luxury-focused organizations including primary distribution channels, travel management companies, wholesalers and retail travel agencies.
Bennett joins Viceroy Hotel Group from The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she enjoyed a decade-long run that saw her advance from northeast travel industry sales manager for The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of the Caribbean and Mexico to regional director of travel industry dales for the northeast and midwest, and finally to corporate senior director of travel industry sales for Ritz-Carlton properties globally.
She was consistently recognized as a “Key Performer” for Ritz-Carlton, thrice achieving President’s Circle status, and thrice more Chairman’s Circle status.
