Violence Anticipated on Thailand, Cambodia Border

The British government's Foreign & Commonwealth Office is warning travelers against visiting Thailand tomorrow, August 19, due to the Red Shirts supposed planning of policital activites in central Bangkok, which may cause local disruption.

This follows their previous warning against travel to Thailand because of the presence of Thai troops on the Cambodian border.

"We advise against all travel to the Preah Vihear temple area and the Ta Krabey/Ta Moan temple area located on the Thai-Cambodian border," the report says. "Remain alert to the local situation when traveling in other border regions and at land crossings between Thailand and Cambodia."
