Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa has announced that Matthew Pickett recently joined the resort as its director of food and beverage. He will oversee the resort’s culinary and beverage operations, including The Kuhio Beach Grill and The Moana Terrace restaurants featuring fresh, locally harvested cuisine in a casual and friendly, open-air dining atmosphere.
“We are pleased to have Matt join our resort to lead our food and beverage team,” said Chris Tatum, vice president, Marriott International - Hawaii and general manager of Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, in a written release. “With more than 25 years of hotel industry experience, Matt will be able to elevate the culinary and beverage offerings for our guests.”
Pickett is also responsible for the resort’s catering and events operations, which services up to 1,500 guests in its banquet and meeting facilities, and in-room dining.
Prior to joining Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, Pickett held general manager positions at various brand hotels in Hawaii.
