Weinmeister Berlin-Mitte Opens in Germany's Capital

Weinmeister Berlin-MitteThe Weinmeister Berlin-Mitte, a new member of Design Hotels, opened last week in Berlin's central district, Mitte. This 88-room hotel has a pretty impressive pedigree as a sister property to Lux 11. (Both were created by Tom Tänzer and Elmo Hagendorf). We hear the hotel is aimed at business travelers from the music, fashion and creative scenes...as well as leisure travelers who want to see (and be seen by) business travelers in the music, fashion and creative scenes.

Cool touches we love: Instead of uniforms, staff wear exclusive clothing from the new Ellesse heritage collection, reflecting the hotel’s connection with the fashion industry. On the ground floor the ClubLounge and Schwarz bar provide a buzzing space for guests and locals to mingle. (The bar is named after the German film actress Jessica Schwarz, and will exclusively serve an herbal liquor made according to her family’s secret recipe.) An invitation-only rooftop area with bar adds to the chic and exclusive ambience, with views of Berlin and the iconic TV tower. We hear there will also be a whirlpool, sauna and 24-hour room service menu.
