Westin's Foray into Thailand

Westin is making its mark in Thailand with the opening of its first Thai property, the Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa Phuket.

The hotel, which has officially opened its doors to guests, overlooks the Siray Bay with its own secluded beach. Its seaside location is just an eight minute drive from Phuket town, 45 minutes from the Phuket International Airport and just a short boat trip from islands such as Phi Phi, James Bond, Similan and Maya.

The 261 rooms each have their own balconies, rain showers, flat-screen LCD TVs and iPod docking stations. The villas, suites and select guest rooms have private plunge pools and rooftop relaxation.

The first Heavenly Spa by Westin in Thailand offers four single and three couple treatment rooms, a Vichy shower, Ayurveda wellness room and steam and sauna rooms.

A Kid's Club is also available to keep the little ones occupied with local arts, crafts, outdoor activities, movies and more.

Dining options abound with six restaurants and bars ranging from Pan Asian to poolside snacks.
