Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas Adds New Tornado Waterslide

The four-person raft attraction catapults riders from 36 feet in the air through a 110-foot tunnel before dropping them into the 45-foot-wide funnel. As the raft sweeps up the Tornado wall crossing its centerline, guests experience weightlessness or zero gravity. After several oscillations, they descend through the exit tunnel.

"We were so happy to open the park in April, providing a longer season for guests; but I'm even more excited and thankful our construction partners have met our commitment to launch our new ride on time giving visitors a new way to enjoy outdoor water park fun, particularly with such an acclaimed slide as the Tornado," said Takuya Ohki, Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas general manager. "The Tornado's true funnel shape is patented by ProSlide and can't be replicated. It's the physics of the funnel shape that create an unparalleled experience for riders. With the addition of the Tornado and the other improvements we've added at the park this year, we expect another phenomenal season."

Recent improvements to the water park include extended operating hours; more parking, shade, seating and special events; warmer water in the kid's area; and a third affordable season pass. Three options offer discounted pricing when buying four or more of the same pass.

Wet'n'Wild is located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Rd., west of I-215 and W. Sunset Road.
