The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is offering the "Aloha Windsurfing Clinic,” November 10-15, taught by two top windsurfing champions, Matt Pritchard and Shawna Cropas.
The water sports clinic will focus on both windsurfing and stand up paddling, an introductory way to learn to surf on flat water with small waves. The paddling boards can be turned into windsurfing boards by attaching sails.
The clinic is geared to participants at all levels, with Cropas teaching the beginning and intermediate levels and Pritchard focusing in on more advanced students. The enthusiastic duo work individually with students and they emphasize the only prerequisite is a love for the ocean and wind.
The program will start each day with breakfast at DUO, one of Four Seasons Resort Maui’s three award-winning restaurants. Each morning, the coaches will work with students to build skills and learn techniques using an on-land simulator. They also will review video footage from the prior afternoon's on-the-water instruction, either for Stand Up Paddling or windsurfing. After a rewarding day of sun and surf, everyone can fully enjoy the many luxury services and amenities Four Seasons Resort Maui has to offer including a cocktail hour, beautiful sunsets and dinner at the resort.
