CroisiEurope Christens Three New Ships in April 2015

CroisiEuropeCroisiEurope has recently added the MS Camarague and the MS Princesse to its fleet, and will soon be inaugurating the MS Gil Eanes on April 17. 

At the inauguration of the MS Camargue, Sylviane Christinat, a Swiss CroisiEurope representative, served as the ship’s godmother and Mr. Gilbert Bouchet, Senator-Mayor of Tain-l’Hermitage and Mr. Jean-Pierre Michel from Voyages Michel were its godfathers. The new, two-deck ship can accommodate 104 passengers in 54 cabins and will cruise from April to November on six- to eight-day trips departing from Lyon and travelling through Macon, Vienne, Arles, Avignon, Viviers and Tournon.

On April 2, the MS Loire Princesse was christened on the Loire River in Nantes. Ms. Johanna Rolland, Mayor of Nantes and Ms. Charlotte Britz, Mayor of Sarrebrucken served as its godmothers and Mr. Laurent Castaing, General Manager of STX St. Nazaire, served as the godfather. Two guests of honor were also in attendance: Mr. Jean Verne, Jules Verne’s great grandson, and Mr. Daniel Richou of Richou Voyages. The two-deck vessel offers can hold 96 passengers in 48 cabins and will cruise from April to November offering six- to eight-day trips through Nantes, Saint-Nazaire, Ancenis, Angers, the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, Saumur, Bouchemaine, and Ancenis.

The MS Gil Eanes will be christened on the Douro in Porto on April 17. Ms. Isabel Morais, wine and tourism manager at Sogrape, will be its godmother, and Mr. Eduardo Vitor Rodrigues, mayor of Vila Nova de Gaia, will serve as the godfather. The Portuguese ship can hold 132 passengers in 66 cabins and will cruise from April to November offering eight-day cruises leaving from Porto to Regua, Vega de Teron, Ferradosa and Pinhao.
