A fierce typhoon struck Hong Kong on Monday, July 23, causing the city to raise its strongest typhoon warning for the first time in 13 years, reports CNN.com.
At least 118 people in the city were injured, though no fatalities have been reported. Typhoon Vicente has caused the delays of hundreds of flights and closed schools. "The Hong Kong Hospital Authority reported 188 people, aged between 4 and 86 years old, sought medical treatment as of 6 a.m., and 52 people were admitted for their injuries," writes CNN. "During the storm, at least 44 flights at the Hong Kong International Airport were canceled and 276 flights delayed."
Flights to and from Hong Kong are now operating normally since the typhoon has passed over Hong Kong.
