French air traffic controllers are planning a 36 hour strike, set to start Wednesday evening local time, Air Transport World reports. Airline lobbying group Airlines for Europe (A4E) said that this will mark the 43rd strike day for France since 2009, and could result in the cancellation of hundreds of flights.

American Airlines has issued a travel waiver for customers traveling on an American Airlines, British Airways or Iberia flight from the following airports:

  • Bordeaux, France (BOD)
  • Lyon, France (LYS)
  • Marseille Provence, France (MRS)
  • Nantes, France (NTE)
  • Nice, France (NCE)
  • Paris Charles De Gaulle, France (CDG)
  • Paris Orly, France (ORY)
  • Toulouse, France (TLS)

The waiver applies to tickets bought before March 29 and scheduled to travel March 31 to, through or from an affected airport. Customers must travel through April 7.
