Gran Melia's First Venture in China

 

Gran Melia Hotels and Resorts is gearing up to welcome the newest kid on the block, the Gran Melia Shanghai, slated to open December 12. This will be the brand's first property in China.

Located in the Lujiazui Financial & Trade Zone, this 686-room hotel will offer views of the Huangpu River and the Puxi district.

The hotel will have 119 rooms, 12 suites, one Presidential Suite and one Imperial Suite. Guests of REDLevel, Gran Melia's retreat for VIP guests, can expect a private check-in area, continental breakfast, complimentary happy hours with hors d'oeuvres and access to the REDLevel Lounge.

Business travelers have access to the meeting and convention facilities, including a Grand Ballroom which can accommodate up to 800 people. There will also be 17 meeting rooms, WiFi and a business-center.

Dining options will include Suntime Century for Cantonese fare, Spanish-themed El Albero and the Italian restaurant Acqua. For after-hours fun guests should check out Havana Night, the Cuban music bar or Red Passion, the rooftop bar.

The YHI Spa will feature traditional massages and beauty treatments as well as a full service health club.
