The Dearborn-based museum that's part of The Henry Ford history attraction debuts the Davidson-Gerson Modern Glass Gallery on Friday. Museum officials say the exhibit spans the Studio Glass movement's founding in 1962 to the present.
The gallery will feature roughly 100 works of art selected from a recently acquired collection. Visitors also can learn about the glassmaking process through a video "spin browser."
Featured artists include Harvey Littleton and Paul Stankard, and pieces include vases, sculptures and paperweights.
The gallery has received a grant from the William Davidson Foundation.
