Himalayan International Tours is offering a 10-day FAM trip of India and Nepal, leaving New York September 25. Guests will see the Taj Mahal, visit Kathmandu, ride an elephant and see countless historic cities, palaces, temples, mosques and more.
Travelers will spend their first full day in India in Delhi. They will visit the oldest and largest mosque in the country Jama Masjid, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial and the bazaar Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. In New Delhi, they will see Birla Temple, Qutab Minar Tower, India Gate and the Raj Path. The day will conclude with the drive to Jaipur, the next stop in the tour.
In Jaipur, guests can ride decorated elephants to the Amber Palace and see examples of Rajput architecture, such as Vijay Temple and Sheesh Mahal. In the afternoon, the tour will take visitors to Jai Singh’s Observatory and the City Palace, an art museum displaying Rajput and Mogul paintings.
The following day, on the drive to Agra, the travelers will stop at Fatehpur-Sikri, a deserted Sandstone City dating back to the 17th century. The following day, guests will visit the Taj Mahal. On the seventh day of the trip, the tour will take guests to Kathmandu, to the Temple of Hanuman, Dhoka Square, the Royal Palace and the city’s bazaars.
The next day will bring guest to the Tibetan Handicrafts Center in Patan and the shell-shaped city of religious devotees Bhaktapur. The following morning travelers will have the option of adding on a flight-seeing tour of Mt. Everest. Afterwards, the trip will bring visitors to the World Heritage Site Bouddhanath, a sacred Hindu shrine.
The India Nepal trip includes airfare, hotels, sightseeing tours and English-speaking guides. The per person cost is $2,688, with an additional cost of $385 for a spouse.
