The revitalized Outrigger Hospitality Specialist Program, launched in January 2009, has certified almost 4,000 travel agents so far. According to Lois Shore, vice president of distribution for Outrigger Hospitality, the majority of these agents have claimed cash rewards for a significant number of bookings in 2009.
In addition to the training program, Outrigger Hospitality's 2009 enhanced travel agent strategy also featured a first-ever dedicated website—OutriggerAgent.com—which offers agent-only information and fast facts on all Outrigger-owned, managed and affiliated hotels, resorts, and condominiums, plus helpful tips and valuable agent alerts.
Some of the 2010 special promotions for Outrigger specialists and travel agent friends include:
* Double Specialist Reward Points with Outrigger Condominium Collection Bookings: All new client-stay bookings made at any Outrigger condo properties between January 1 and March 31, for stays through December 21 will earn double Specialist Reward Points.
* Event-planning Bonus Specialist Reward Points at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach and Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach: Outrigger Hospitality Specialists will earn a bonus of 500 Reward Points for every $1,000 in revenue from food, beverage, meeting room rental and sleeping rooms booked as a group.
* Learn and earn: The Outrigger Hospitality Specialist Online Learning Library features a new course focused specifically on Outrigger's Hawaii Neighbor Island properties. Specialists who successfully complete the course and quiz between January 1 and March 31 will earn 100 Specialist Reward Points.
* Online bookings deliver the goods: Thousands of travel agents have been enjoying the convenience of making client bookings as well as bookings for themselves online at www.OutriggerAgent.com. To help boost earnings, a special Outrigger Hospitality promotion is being offered for new bookings made from January 1 to March 31. For every 50th online booking, agents will receive a $50 check; every $100th booking a $100 check; and every 500th booking a $500 check.
