Marriott Moxy Hotels Opens Two More Properties
Moxy Hotels, Marriott International’s new lifestyle brand, has announced that it is opening two new properties in the United States: Moxy New Orleans and Moxy Tempe, AZ, both set to open in spring 2016.
The new Moxy Hotels will have social public spaces, 24-hour self-service grab and go food options, plug-ins for personal devices, free Wi-Fi, and the Moxy Digital Guestbook for streaming videos and pictures via Instagram. In addition, each hotel will be equipped with a library, keyless entry and screen casting and motion-sensor lighting. The brand’s photo booth elevators encourage and enable guests to snap selfies with locally-inspired props.
Moxy New Orleans, which has 108 guestrooms, is located near the French Quarter in downtown New Orleans and will be unveiled in April 2016, while Moxy Tempe will debut in March, with 186 industrial style bedrooms and free-flowing indoor/outdoor spaces enabled by modern roll-up garage doors off the lobby.
Moxy Tempe will also have record players, vinyl album sets and acoustic guitars in Moxy King Studios. Additionally, the hotel will host a reveal event in April 2016.
New Papillon Hotel From Rex Resorts
In St. Lucia, the 110 room Papillon Hotel from Rex Resorts has re-opened after completing an extensive renovation in February 2016 with Air Canada Vacations as the exclusive tour operator out of Canada. The Papillon Hotel is located adjacent to the St. Lucian and Royal by Rex resorts hotels on Reduit Beach near Rodney Bay.
Harbor Club to Open on the Rodney Bay Marina
The Harbor Club on the Rodney Bay Marina will have 115 four-star accommodations with a number of amenities that include two restaurants, lounges, a full-service spa, gym, pool recreational concept and 4,000 square feet of meeting and conference space. Addtionally, adjacent to the Harbor Club is the recently completed Dive Saint Lucia, a scuba diving center in the Eastern Caribbean just south of the Rodney Bay Marina.
Royalton Luxury Resorts Sets Late 2016 Opening
Royalton Luxury Resorts is slated to debut in late 2016, with the upscale Royalton Saint Lucia near Cap Estate. The resort will comprise 361 rooms, eight restaurants and six bars, a world class spa, onsite splash park, conference space and a 94-suite, adults-only hotel within a resort called Hideaway.
Kauai Meritage Collection Adds Ko'a Kea Hotel & Resort
The Meritage Collection has announced the addition of its newest member, Ko'a Kea Hotel & Resort.
Situated on Kauai's south shore, the beachfront boutique property offers guests ocean views, colorful native flowers and sea life of Kauai.
Koa Kea Hotel & Resort is also extending a special offer this spring. Guests who book a March or April stay will receive $150 resort credit to use on waterfront dining, seaside spa treatments, surfboard rental or other island adventures.
Triptych Miami Design District Joins Curio Collection
Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of the upcoming Triptych Miami Design District to its boutique Curio Collection of hotels, set to open during the 2017 - 2018 high season.
Triptych Miami Design District is located at the intersection of the three hottest areas in Miami, and is meant to bring together the styles of the Design District, Midtown and Wynwood. Once completed, Triptych will pay homage to its namesake by becoming the only hotel in the Design District of Miami to have an extensive gallery space open to the public.
The 20-story property will have 296 rooms and suites, along with 40,000 square feet of meeting and function space. There will also be a number of dining options, including a Sky Lobby with pool deck, restaurant and bar, and a rooftop deck with a bar and lounge.
In addition, both the ground floor and second floor will offer retail brands, while office space will be available between floors three and six in a shared concept style.
The property will be located near Wynwood District, which offers more than 70 galleries and annual high-profile art events such as Art Week, which attracts over 75,000 visitors. Also within a ten-minute drive will be the Miami International Airport, American Airlines Arena, Marlin Park and Miami Beach.
