Allegria Joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

The new luxury beachfront hotel, Allegria Hotel & Spa, which opens its doors on May 18 (postponed from an April opening), has been named a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Located less than 30 miles from New York City, the 143-room hotel will provide discerning travelers with a seaside location for weekend escapes, close-to-home family vacations, romantic getaways and destination weddings.

Perched on the south shore of Long Island, Allegria is the first luxury property to grace the city of Long Beach, offering magnificent views of both the Atlantic Ocean and New York City skyline.  At this urban oasis, guests will find seasonal and organic cuisine from acclaimed Hamptons Chef Todd Jacobs; a 200-person grand ballroom for weddings and other special events; three breakout rooms for business meetings and corporate functions; a host of outdoor recreation including surf and bike rentals, yoga and golf; and much more. A rooftop, infinity-edge pool will debut in July and soothing beauty rituals will also be available at the full-service salon and spa by Joseph Christopher, set to open in fall 2009.
