ANA Hotels Undergo Co-Branding

The joint venture of IHG and ANA formed four months ago has announced its plans for renaming and co-branding 13 hotels in Japan currently operating under the ANA banner. Under the initiative by IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan, the hotels will undergo improvements to product, service and operations, and will be designated as ANA InterContinental, ANA Crowne Plaza or ANA Holiday Inn properties. First to change will be the flagship ANA Hotel Tokyo, which will be renamed the ANA InterContinental Tokyo on April 1. In May, the Strings Hotel Tokyo will become the Strings by InterContinental Tokyo; six ANA hotels will be co-branded as ANA Crowne Plaza properties by the end of the year, with two other rebrandings in 2008 and another in 2009.
