Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma Still Set to Open November 1

Azul Hotels by Karisma confirmed recently that the Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma is still on schedule to open by November 1 in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, something most agents were previously skeptical about.

“We know this property has been pushed back a bit so agents weren’t convinced we were really going to open this time around,” Mandy Chomat, vice president of sales and marketing at Premier Worldwide Marketing, the exclusive worldwide representatives for Azul Hotels, told Travel Agent during an interview conducted at MLT University in Minnesota back in September.

“To show them that we are serious about the property opening on schedule this time, we refused to take any bookings until we open on November 1,” Chomat added. “We are prepared to open empty if we have to if that’s what it takes to convince agents we are serious this time around.”

Azul Fives Hotel will be Azul Hotels’ third property and follows the openings of Azul Sensatori Hotel in November 2008 and Azul Beach Hotel in December 2005. The Gourmet Inclusive all-suite property will feature 360 luxuriously designed one-, two- and three bedroom Suites, private and expansive rooftop lounge decks, a variety of gourmet dining options, a sky bar overlooking the Caribbean waters, and a 15,000 square-foot Zen-inspired Vassa Spa.
