This summer the Park Royal Beach Resort in Cancun has launched a new program for families: “Mexican Family Experience.” Aimed at allowing families with children aged five to 12 to get a taste of Mexican family traditions and culture, the program includes a number of activities parents and children can enjoy together, as well as kid-only activities.
Special family activities include making a Mexican piñata, choice of a special family beach dinner featuring local fare or a kids’ PJ party in the Park Royal Kids’ Club (while parents can enjoy a romantic dinner in the resort’s signature Mexican or beachfront seafood restaurant). Special family in-room amenities include a minibar stocked with local Meixcan sodas, juices and kid-friendly snacks; a “scents of Mexico” in-room aromatherapy kit; a specially designed pillow menu for both children and adults; adult- and kid-sized bathrobes; and a special nightly turndown surprise for the family, such as Mexican Chispas cookies and milk. The family will also receive a colorful Mexican-designed beach bag, family memories photo album, t-shirts for the children and a specially designed Mexican souvenir box to bring home.
The resort has 310 rooms, including 20 family-friendly suites that can accommodate a total of six guests, as well as a kids’ pool and water playground, a family pool, an adults-only pool and a new Ekinox bar and lounge for adults, offering 360-degree views of both the beach and the city. There is also a gym, and spa services are available at an additional cost.
