Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, elevated German Herrera y Cairo to the position of director of sales.
Herrera y Cairo will oversee sales plans and strategies and report directly to general manager Victor Gomez. He brings more than 20 years of experience in operations and sales and marketing in the hospitality industry.
“German has been a key member of our sales team since the hotel’s opening in 2008, helping take our property to number one in market share," said Gomez. "When this position became available, I knew he was the right man for the job.”
Prior to joining Casa Dorada, he served in a variety of roles within the sales and marketing division at Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa Hotel Los Cabos, culminating in his position as senior sales manager. He also received experience in hotel management as operations coordinator at Villas del Palmar Hotel Cabo San Lucas, and prior to that, in various functions at the Melia San Lucas Resort.
Herrera y Cairo is a graduate of the University of Mazatlan where he earned a degree in Tourism Management. He is originally from Mazatlan, Mexico.
