Crested Butte Mountain Resort
Crested Butte marks its 50th anniversary with enhanced commissions for agents.

Sometimes, travel agents need more than the allure of powdered peaks and après cocktails to entice clients to take a ski vacation. Fortunately, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has just the pitch, as it marks its 50th year with a new incentive for agents.

New this year, the resort’s travel agent partner program—Mountain Vacation Partners (MVP)—is boosting commissions from 10 to 12 percent.  Agents who enroll as an MVP before winter can begin earning personal and corporate rewards at the same time. Bonuses include: complimentary activities or lodging at Crested Butte, ski marketing support for consumer events, e-mail and direct mail blasts to clients and easy access to travel deals.

Getting to the resort is now easier due to the addition of direct flights into Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport via American Airlines, Continental Airlines and United Airlines from such hubs as Dallas, Houston and Denver. United’s flights between Denver and Gunnison/Crested Butte run throughout the year. New flights from Houston on Continental, and Dallas/Ft. Worth on American begin in mid-December this year and continue through early April 2011. The Montrose Regional Airport is about 90 minutes from Crested Butte and hosts directs from Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark and Phoenix.
