Desires Hotels Offers Agents Sales Incentives

Desires Hotels is offering travel agents a chance to turn their Spring Flings into Spring Bling with a new promotion. The agent who makes the most bookings between March 1 and June 20 will win the Grand Prize of a $500 VISA Gift Card, and the runner up will receive a $250 VISA Gift Card. Travel professionals can log into the Desires Hotels agent portal,, and tell them how and which hotel within the modern boutique collection that they have booked.   

There are also weekly prizes. For the weekly prize, agents simply log into the agent portal on the Desires website and tell the company a little about yourself and your expertise. Agents can also register with Desires Hotels online and update profiles to automatically be entered to win a $50 VISA Gift Card every week.  

Agents who are eligible for this promotion must enter a verifiable IATA or CLIA number.  Agents will be given one entry into the weekly drawings for completing or updating an online profile and subscribing to email promotions from Desires Hotels. Grand Prizes will be awarded to the top two qualified agents with the most registered bookings between March 1 and June 20, 2009.

Desires Hotels says it has embraced the travel agent community by creating an Internet portal specifically designed for travel professionals and established the two-letter chain code “BT” on the GDS for easier bookings. Desires Hotels reports that it is dedicated to paying commissions on time and making it easy to track them. Additionally, Desires Hotels has declared July Travel Agent Education and Appreciation Month, with Fams and special discounts to any of the hotels within their collection.

 “We welcome agents to gain first-hand knowledge of our collection of hotels and to facilitate this we offer attractive travel agents rates and welcome the opportunity to host Fams,” the chain says.  Desires Hotels pays a 10 percent commissions on a timely basis and offers a specific agent website portal for reservation, questions about bookings and tracking commissions.
