Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has prided itself on being a friend to travel agents. To show how much  appreciation they have, Fairmont is offering 16 percent commissions on new direct bookings for stays through September 7, 2009.

Additionally, agents who want to save money on their own travels can take advantage of the hotel's collection of destinations around the world with rates starting from $79.

Agents can receive more benefits if they sign up for the Famous Agents education and recognition program. By enrolling in the program, agents can earn $10 per room night booked until September 7 at properties including, Fairmont Battery Wharf in Boston, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda, The Plaza in New York and The Fairmont Washington D.C.

Famous Agents are eligible for lower rates for themselves at many Fairmont Hotels & Resorts around the world, with rates staring at $69. Members can also earn $20 cash back for each room night booked until December 20, 2009 at The Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii.
