First Hyatt Place Opens in Illinois

Hyatt Place opened its first property in Lombard, IL., marking the brand's first hotel since Hyatt Corp. acquired the AmeriSuites hotel chain. An additional 140 Hyatt Place hotels are slated to open in 2006 and 2007 while AmeriSuites properties are undergoing renovation and repositioning. Hyatt Place offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi access, high definition plasma TVs, Hyatt Grand Beds and sofa sleepers. Lobby areas feature self registration kiosks, coffee and wine cafes, TV dens and an e-room with access to computers and printers. Free continental breakfast is included in the room rate.
