If the skiing and the spa weren't enough to recommend a winter visit to Gstaad Palace, upcoming events and recent changes to the luxe Swiss property are making the destination hotter than ever.
One notable event early next year is the 10th edition of the "Sommet Musicaux de Gstaad," which is dedicated to bringing young musicians together in the spirit of artistry. To mark the milestone anniversary of this event, a variety of concerts will be performed at the Chapel in Gstaad and the Church in Saanen from January 29 until February 6, 2010, adopting the theme of "Discovering and Being Discovered."
Among the recent developments at the hotel, a new smoking lounge has been set up in the Greengo as a result of new smoking laws. On the ground floor, shoppers will find a Polo Ralph Lauren boutique, and as part of a joint venture, the hotel has entrusted the cuisine for Gildo's restaurant to the Hotel Il Pellicano from Tuscany.
