Hard Rock Makes Plans to Build New Hotel in Berlin

Hard Rock International just announced plans for Hard Rock Hotel Berlin Checkpoint Charlie. This 372-room city hotel, which will be reflective of the area’s musical past, is set to open in 2020 in collaboration with Trockland Development Group.

Millennial music lovers will be able to unwind at the rooftop pool and lounge (with views of the city) as well as the traditional Hard Rock Cafe and spa. As an exclusive touch, guests will be able to participate in "The Sound of Your Stay" music amenity program that will allow guests the opportunity to check out a Fender guitar for in-room playing. The hotel will be located adjacent to the renowned Checkpoint Charlie, and it will actually be built where the Berlin Wall once stood. It will also have among its memorabilia a portion of the Berlin Wall.

Music lovers will also appreciate that the hotel plans to pay tribute to the rock revolution and punk scenes from stars like David Bowie, The Ramones, U2 and the Scorpions that helped Berlin open up to the world. The Hard Rock will have on display authentic memorabilia that represents this musical past and these artists.
