The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa announced it will undertake a $6.5 million renovation project that will reveal a new view of the Gulf of Mexico’s white sands and clear water. Guests will have an enhanced view from expanded deck areas, a new beachside restaurant and bar, and a poolside market, among other new and updated amenities.
"This spring is going to be unlike any other here at the Hilton Sandestin Beach. We’re committed to continuing to provide our guests with the excellence in service and amenities for which we’re known, combined with a completely new experience that promises to be as breathtaking as the memories they’ll be sure to make," said Gary Brielmayer, general manager of the property.
The resort's new restaurant, Barefoot's Beachside Bar & Grill, will serve burgers and fish tacos, while the Sand Bar will distribute drinks. The Picnix Poolside Market will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Guests will also be able to take a dip in a new hot tub, and young children will have their own kiddy pool. An indoor pool and whirlpool are also available in addition to two outdoor pools.
Beginning in the spring, Hilton Sandestin Beach guests can fly to Northwest Florida from one of 19 cities across the U.S., thanks to Vision Airlines, which announced last month it will commence nonstop air service to/from Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS), approximately 25 miles from the hotel. This is in addition to the nonstop flights to/from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, (ECP), near Panama City Beach, Fla., courtesy of Southwest Airlines, which were announced in May 2010.
