Hotel BPM to Hit the Right Note

Hotel BPMThis July, Hotel BPM will make its debut in Brooklyn's Sunset Park. Inspired by the music term for "beats per minute," the 75-room boutique property will stream a soundtrack throughout the hotel, selected by owner and developer DJ Bijal.

The first Indian DJ to have his own syndicated urban radio show on AOL Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio simultaneously, Bijal was born in Surat, in Gujarat, India, and spent his adolescence in New York, where he first began mixing hip hop and R&B.

Located near the Barclays Center, the upcoming home of the Brooklyn Nets, the hotel will also feature easy access to the Wall Street Ferry Pier, East 34th Street Pier and Sandy Hook Bay Marina via the New York Water Taxi. Surrounding neighborhoods include Park Slope, where Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum are located, and Fort Greene, home of the performing arts venue, the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
