Hotel News from Thai Travel Mart Plus 2007

The Swissôtel Le Concorde in Bangkok will make efforts to keep its five-star status with a 2007 total renovation; the hotel will remain open.

The 293-room Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa is finalizing the details of a renovation of 20 to 40 of its units. In addition to a redesign, they will receive plasma TVs, a magnetic lock system and an isolated standing bar.

The Best Western Premiere Amaranth Suvarnabhumi, a new build near the airport, is expected to open in 2009. The Best Western Premiere Supalai Resort & Spa in Phuket and the Best Western Premiere Andaman Princess Resort & Spa in Kho Lak are currently in soft openings; grand openings will follow in October
