This week, The Peery Hotel joined the Ascend Hotel Collection, a branch of Choice Hotels International, Inc. The acquisition comes after The Peery underwent an extensive restoration and renovation to provide the modern traveler the luxuries they’ve come to expect without losing the feel of the local Salt Lake City history it’s known for, which made The Peery an ideal fit for the Ascend Hotel Collection’s growing portfolio of one of a kind, distinctive hotels.
The property, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, pays homage to the railroad and mining industries of Salt Lake’s past. The hotel features two restaurants, The Oak Wood Fire Kitchen and Aristo’s, scheduled to open in the fall of 2016. Built in 1910, The Peery is a historical landmark located in downtown Salt Lake City, within close proximity to a variety of popular attractions like the Salt Palace Convention Center, Vivint Smart Home Arena, Temple Square, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, The Gateway Mall and more.
It offers 73 rooms, each with an architecturally unique aesthetic, prime views of downtown Salt Lake City and Tempur-Pedic beds with premium triple sheeting and down comforters. Room options range from Classic Queen to a King Suite, sleeping up to four people. All rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, iron and ironing boards, air conditioning, hair dryers, sofa beds and Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities.
The Ascend Hotel Collection offers unique and historic, best-in-class boutique hotel options for guests looking for authentic, local experiences in urban locations worldwide, which is what The Peery Hotel has been in Salt Lake City for over 100 years.
