How to Sell The Palms Turks & Caicos to Millennials

Millennials heading to Turks and Caicos this holiday season and beyond will surely find the hotel features they have become accustomed to at the chic Palms Turks & Caicos.

Here’s how to sell the luxury hotel to everyone, from spa enthusiasts to foodies to those craving some old-fashioned fun in the sun.

The Spa

The 25,000-square-foot spa has three couples rooms and 12 singles rooms.

The most requested treatment here is “The Zareeba,” in which guests are placed in a small Zareeba hut with a clay pot of steaming herbs that will detoxify and help you transition to a meditative state. The Zareeba is a uniquely personal and powerful holistic experience.

We were told clients should book treatments about four weeks in advance from December to May and about two weeks in advance from June to November.

Wedding parties can buy out the spa for a day of spa treatments and use of the salon for prepping for the wedding. Additionally, the ceremony and/or reception can be held in the spa, which has a reflecting pool that can be covered for events.

Rooms

We were told the Penthouse Suites are the most requested suites on the property. They are available in one-, two- or three-bedroom configurations ranging from 3,422 to 3,791 square feet with ocean views. They have master bedrooms, a private outdoor Sun Suite with a spa tub and outdoor shower, a full kitchen, dining and living areas.

Travel Agent was also told the best experience for guests is to be out on the beautiful water. Many of the cays in the Turks and Caicos are uninhabited. The Palms can book a luxury boat of varying sizes to take guests out for the day to one of the deserted cays for a private lunch and arrange for any other activities at the secluded location. Agents should note that a butler can be provided as well.

Dining

Millennials with an appetite should look no further than the hotel’s Parallel23 restaurant, one of Travel Agent’s favorite Caribbean dining spots that offers an al fresco space on a wide terrace. The dining room also offers views of a hi-tech display kitchen so diners can enjoy the theater of food preparation. Table 31 can seat up to eight guests and is the centerpiece of the dining room. Table 38 is very romantic for a couple, as it is closest to the music when there is live entertainment. Some favorite dishes from Parallel23 include coconut-marinated conch ceviche, pan roasted sea bass and 21-day aged steaks.

One of The Palms’ two bars, Osmosis, is open for guests only and is located right on the stunning Grace Bay Beach. L’Attitude Bar is adjacent to the fine dining restaurant, Parallel23, and is popular for guests and locals alike. Signature cocktails include the "Palms D’Or," made with gold rum, coconut rum, passion puree, pineapple, mint and champagne.

The Palms is about six miles, or 15 minutes, from the Providenciales International Airport. Agents should note that pick-up service is available for clients.
