Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach to Open in December

A model room of the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach

Scheduled to open this December in the former Waikiki Trade Center, Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach will have 230 rooms and suites.

The lobby is centered around a six-foot tall custom green sculpture resembling circular drift wood with local vegetation adorning the piece. This is set against an accent wall resembling rough lava to set the tone for the relaxed Hawaiian ambiance that is incorporated throughout the hotel.

A range of blue and green colors are used throughout the rooms and are inspired by the colors of the ocean and sky. The rooms also include floor-to-ceiling windows, offering sweeping views of Waikiki.

The hotel’s eighth floor includes the main lobby, the pool deck, a restaurant and bar. The outdoor area includes green walls and bamboo trees amongst Hawaiian plants.

The hotel will also have organic art reminiscent of sea creatures and an abundance of tropical wood and teak used in furniture pieces throughout.
