The renovation of Hyatt Regency Century Plaza's plaza and executive conference level meeting and social spaces are now complete. The more than $1 million dollar upgrade to the hotel’s Plaza Level offers a totally new look and image to the series of Junior Ballrooms, including the Westside Room where actors Sonny & Cher launched their variety act together.
Adding to the hotel’s expansive portfolio of event space, The Plaza Level's design provides more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space with two junior ballrooms that can be divided into four distinct venues. Groups ranging from 150-400 will enter the space and be surrounded by plush wall-to-wall carpeting in rich brown, gold and burnt orange. A lighting package that includes individual controls in each room, custom chandeliers, and wall sconces illuminate the space and complement the pre-function areas’ newly appointed sofas, wing chairs, and lounge seating arrangements.
Reconfiguring the Westside Room from three tiers to two, the open floor plan accommodates social and meeting planners event space needs. Plus, the 9,100 square foot Plaza Pavilion is suitable for executive retreats and celebratory affairs, for up to 600 guests. Included in the Plaza Level re-design is a new 24-hour business center with high-speed Internet computer stations, printer, fax and business supplies.
Renovation of the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza’s Executive Conference Center (formerly the South Mezzanine) is now complete, wrapping up the second phase of the landmark property’s public area upgrades. Situated on the hotel's mezzanine level, the redone space is devoted solely to accommodate small group size meetings of up to 100 people. There are eight meeting rooms ranging from 390 to 1,100 square feet, all of which have floor to ceiling windows that face Los Angeles' Avenue of the Stars or the hotel's lush backyard gardens. New carpeting, window treatments and lighting fixtures designed in soft neutral tones, complement the wood accent finishes throughout the renovated space. Amenities include a selection of Aeron and ergonomically correct banquet chairs that offer lumbar support for marathon meetings; wood finished boardroom style conference tables; personal concierge; on-site business center and A/V services; WiFi; and state-of- the-art high speed Internet.
