Hyatt Hotels & Resorts is implementing non-smoking and bed-type room guarantees at all of its properties, assuring guests they will receive the same room they reserved. The guarantee was launched following results from a national survey that indicate 18 percent of business travelers do not receive the non-smoking room they booked. With the non-smoking guarantee, Hyatt will offer guests a $100 Hyatt gift card or 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points if a non-smoking room is unavailable at check in. The bed-type guarantee is available to the two highest levels of the company's frequent guest program: Hyatt Gold Passport Diamond and Platinum members. Should these members not receive their booked bed type, they will receive an additional 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points, which can be redeemed for one free night at select properties.
