Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of its new "Iberostar App”, a phone application which allows guests to enjoy their experience at the hotel as part of the Majorca-based company’s ongoing aim to evolve and invest in the improvements of its products.
The new app has three sections including bookings and access to the web check-in service, making the arrival procedure faster and more convenient. There is also an interactive map that provides access to the hotel’s services and facilities, as well as full details of meal options, booking a table at any of the hotel’s restaurants and a room service menu.
Guests are also able to contact the hotel staff and employees, request late check-out, luggage storage or check courtesy room availability. The app is able to produce a timeline indicating the events and activities happening on-site each day as well.
Additionally, users have the option to save these activities on their mobile calendar and can share them on social media, providing a global view of everything that is happening at the hotel in real time.
The new app was developed entirely by the company and will not depend on other products on the market. Additionally, the platform will be open to future innovations and has the capacity to incorporate new functions such as opening room doors or act as a payment platform for Iberostar guests.
The new app has already been tested at 10 Iberostar Hotels in Spain and the Caribbean and will gradually be incorporated into the company’s other hotels during 2017. The app is available in Spanish and English and can be downloaded for free through App Store and Google Play.
