The Joint Is Jumpin’

As if the Hard Rock Las Vegas weren’t hip and trendy enough, yesterday a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place to mark the opening of The Joint, the brand-new, state-of-the-art concert venue—part of a $750 million expansion for the hotel that includes two new hotel towers with 860 rooms, more casino space and convention and meeting facilities.

The event featured Carlos Santana, recording artist and resident headliner; Randy Kwasniewski, president of Morgans Hotel Group, Las Vegas and president and COO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; John Meglen, president and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West; Patrick Berge, president of Sceno Plus; and Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman.

The Joint's grand-opening celebration continues this weekend with concerts from The Killers, Avenged Sevenfold and Sir Paul McCartney. Offering an unparalleled commitment to rock and roll, The Joint features a cutting-edge sound and lighting system, seven luxury suites and the most sophisticated, intimate and authentic experience in Las Vegas for performers and fans alike.

We've had some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry perform at our hotel over the past decade, including the Rolling Stones, Metallica and Foo Fighters," said Kwasniewski. "The new Joint allows us to take the live music scene in Vegas to the next level by giving artists and bands the opportunity to perform in front of sold-out crowds inside one of the most sophisticated and authentic concert venues in the country."
