Kempinski Hotels Opens Latest Sea-Side Venture in Aqaba

Kempinksi Hotels opened its third property on the Red Sea last week with the Hotel Aqaba, Red Sea Jordan.

Situated right on the sea's sandy beach, the hotel is within walking distance of downtown Aqaba's shopping and business districts. Thanks to the building's curving contemporary design, all of its 201 rooms and suites offer a sea view. Guests can dine at any of the hotel's six restaurants and bars, with offerings that include both international and regional cuisine, a night lounge and an alfresco terrace with panoramic views of the Red Sea.

Aqaba is a sunny seaport town with a mix of beaches and mountains, and the hotel seeks to give guests the option to kick back or to get active by offering a private beach and pool as well as water sports like kayaking, windsurfing and scuba diving.  The Hotel Aqaba emphasizes its in-house spa for adults and its Kids Club for younger travelers, and guests can sign up for one of the hotel's organized tours to tourist attractions like the ancient city of Petra, the scenic rock valley of Wadi Rum and the Bedouin Camps.

The hotel general manager is Alejandro Bernabe.
