Langham Hotels Appoints Dir. of Global Sales Asia

With expansion in Asia at the forefront of Langham Hotels International's strategic growth plan, the Hong Kong-based hotelier has appointed Cheryl Yue as its new director of global sales Asia. Yue has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the hotel industry, most recently serving as director of sales and marketing for Starwood's Le Meridien Cyberport hotel in Hong Kong. The move comes as LHI gears up for rapid expansion in the region, especially in China. "Asia is strong and booming, both as a destination and a market," says Brett Butcher, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Langham. "It's tremendous growth prospect makes every business sense for us to establish the Langham brands here."
