Langham Resort Opens on Thai Island

Langham Hotels International has opened the Langham Place Eco Resort + Spa on the island of Koh Lanta in the southern Thailand province of Krabi. The opening marks Langham's first property under a management contract and its first resort. The Krabi resort has 185 rooms and villas spread from the beach up a hillside overlooking Klong Tob Bay. There are four swimming pools and the Chuan Spa, with treatments based on traditional Chinese traditions. Langham says it will be opening five more hotels in the next 18 months, including three in China. See www.langhamhotels.com.
