The Lodge at Rancho Mirage in California, which is managed by RockResorts (a division of Vail Resorts), is closing on Aug. 13 for extensive redevelopment. The Lodge has been part of RockResorts' collection since December 2001 and continued to be managed by the group after its sale last July to GENLB-Rancho LLC. However, last week the owners informed RockResorts of its plans to close the hotel; they will pay the company a fee for the remainder of its management contract.
