Loews Hotels announces the promotion of Debbie Castillo to the position of vice president of hotel sales. In this new role, Castillo will oversee all sales and marketing and revenue management for Loews Hotels on the East Coast and Canada, continue leading the Loews Hotels International efforts and oversee the company’s sales training and development initiatives that support the hotels.
Castillo, who joined Loews Hotels in 1999 as the director of sales and marketing for Loews Miami Beach Hotel and was promoted to regional vice president of sales and marketing in 2004, has more than 24 years of industry experience. During her tenure with Loews Hotels, she has successfully “re-launched” Loews Miami Beach Hotel after a $50 million renovation, as well as developed the International sales efforts for the brand.
“Debbie has done a tremendous job for Loews Hotels throughout the years, guiding the marketing efforts of her regional hotels, as well as leading Loews Hotels International effort,” said Felicia Fisher, senior vice president sales and strategic planning at Loews Hotels. “Her expertise will be a vital part of developing and executing our company’s sales and marketing initiatives.”
Castillo is active within the Miami/Miami Beach community, recently appointed to the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA). She also serves as the chairperson of the Marketing and Tourism Committee and sits on the Executive Committee of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau.
