The Loma Del Mar Hotel, located in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo on Mexico's Pacific coast, is slated to debut its new wellness center and spa on September 13. The New Age Thalasso Wellness Center and Spa will include a 68-foot outdoor “thalasso,” or therapeutic salt-water, swimming pool-spa. Recreational and therapy elements of the pool include four hydro-air massage chairs, four hydro massage beds, “volcanic” hydro massage systems for feet and legs, overhead water spouts for neck, shoulder and back therapy, and even a controlled water current for aerobic swimming or lap swimming. A separate spa center building houses massage and treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and a soothing flotation. In addition to the thalasso pool, a separate 100-foot-long infinity-edge free-form swimming pool features two overhead fluvial duckbill spouts and two jet spouts for neck and shoulder hydro massage.
