Los Cabos is opening a new boutique property that will join the existing resorts in the destination as well as several new developments scheduled to open within the next two to three years.
Located just five minutes from San Jose del Cabo, El Ganzo, an independent member of Preferred Boutique Hotels, stands at the Marina in Puerto Los Cabos and is scheduled to open its doors in November. The property will offer 66 deluxe rooms, four master suites and two signature suites. El Ganzo offers travelers a sushi fusion restaurant, an organiz seafood restaurant, vodka bar and rooftop night club.
With completion expected by the end of the year, Diamante Cabo San Lucas, a 1,500 acre private oceanfront community, recently began construction on an 11-plus acre swimable saltwater lagoon. Surrounding the lagoon will be multiple two-bedroom/three-bath villas and four-bedroom/ four and a half bath bungalows, as well as private beach cabanas. Also under development is a new championship golf course, designed by world-renowned golfer Tiger Woods. The new course will complement the existing course, the Dunes Course at Diamante and will be Woods' first course outside the United States.
Opening in 2013, Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, an adults-only resort, will offer 500 suites, each featuring a private balcony or terrace with a jacuzzi for two, dining experiences with eight gourmet restaurants and a 12,000 square foot spa offering unique treatments. Also opening in 2013 in San José del Cabo is the 157-room Hotel Hyatt Palace, which will be geared toward business executives.
Currently on the drawing board for 2014 is the Ritz Carlton Los Cabos, a single story property featuring 124 private ocreanfront villas with panaromic views; and 2015 will bring the JW Marriott Los Cabos, a 300-room luxury property offering guests 820 ft. of beachfront, located just seven miles from the Los Cabos International Airport.
