Menzies Hotels Switches to Sabre SynXis

SynXis, the Sabre Holdings unit that provides hotel distribution and Internet marketing services, reports that Menzies Hotels, an independently owned chain of properties across the UK, has switched to SynXis as its new distribution partner. The move will aim to increase revenues through online distribution.

The 16 distinctive, four-star Menzies properties are using the RedX Distribution Management System as a single source of distribution to all distribution channels. This includes all four Global Distribution Systems (GDS), the leading online travel sites and its own chain website (www.menzieshotels.co.uk).

Menzies cited several factors for selecting SynXis, including flexible, easy-to-use technology and revenue management tools, seamless integration to its other third-party property systems and experience merchandising a diverse collection of properties.

“After careful consideration, SynXis proved itself to be the wisest and most logical choice as our new distribution partner,” said Paul Dooner, group revenue director for Menzies Hotels. “We were looking for a provider with a proven success rate, a solid support structure and knowledgeable account management. In SynXis, I believe we’ve found a team of industry experts whose knowledge is unsurpassed with technology that will help us see immediate results.”

“Menzies is a strong and distinguished brand, and I’m excited to count them as part of our growing collection of UK chains,” said David Meltzer, vice president of sales for SynXis. “The fact that they put their confidence in us following a rigorous selection process validates the solidity of our product and the investments we’ve made in technology, development and our team.”
