Mercure Reveals Big Plans for Asia Pacific

Accor will expand its Mercure brand, with 11 new hotel openings in the Asia-Pacific region during 2009.

The company will introducing the Mercure Brand in India for the first time, which is considered a key market for Accor’s expansion in the region. The new hotels include Mercure Homestead Residences Bangalore, India; the 285-room Mercure Hotel Sapporo, Japan; the 503-room Mercure Hotel Chengdu Prime, China; the Mercure Hotel Tianyou Chengdu, China; the 172-room Mercure Hotel Pontianak, Indonesia; the 52-room Mercure Fenix Samui, Thailand; the 102-room Mercure Hotel Hanoi La Gare, Vietnam; the 107-room Mercure Hotel Hue Gerbera, Vietnam;  the 104-room Mercure Hotel Liverpool, Australia; the 104-room Mercure Hotel Caroline Springs, Australia, and the Mercure Yarra Valley Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa, Australia.

Accor currently operates 50 Mercure hotels and resorts throughout the Asia Pacific.
