sbe, the Los Angeles-based lifestyle hospitality company, has announced the opening of SLS Brickell, its second SLS Miami hotel and first residential property. The new property marks sbe’s first hotel and residence project in partnership with Related Group.
Located in the heart of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, the Arquitectonica-designed 55 story tower draws inspiration from the Brickell scene, with a faceted bas relief pattern that aims to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. Just steps from Downtown Miami and the Miami Design District, SLS Brickell is composed of 124 Philipe Starck-appointed SLS hotel rooms and suites as well as 450 SLS-branded condo residences. Designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers, the location of the property offers locals and visitors alike access to world-class shopping, fine dining and entertainment options. The hotel, which offers over an acre of amenities, contains a mural by Markus Linnenbrink and a sculpture by Bernardi Roig.
SLS Brickell has a range of 24-hour lifestyle amenities, including concierge services, valet parking, in-room dining, babysitting services and a BMW-7 series house car available for transport within a three-mile radius. The property’s state-of-the-art Fitness Center and Ciel Spa are available for guests to work on health and fitness needs. All SLS Brickell residents are entered into the SLS Resident Membership Program, which offers 10 percent savings on food and beverage as well as Ciel spa services, among many other options across a variety of SLS properties.
In addition to the hotel’s lifestyle amenities, the SLS Brickell offers a variety of customizable services, including a private SLS screening room and party room as well as The Sky Roof, which contains a pool and city views, complemented by cuisine from SLS Culinary Director, Chef José Andrés. Optional services on site include housekeeping, personal training, laundry and dry cleaning, grocery shopping, pet services, IT support and ‘while you’re away’ services, among other.
The property has two main culinary options from James Beard Award-winning chefs, Chef José Andrés and Chef Michael Schwartz. Schwartz is launching his first Italian concept at the Brickell, Fi’lia, which uses fresh ingredients from the hearth and simple handmade artisanal breads and pastas. Andrés will soon unveil Bazaar Mar, the chef’s latest culinary concept that celebrates oceans, with a seasonal emphasis on Miami and the Caribbean. Bazaar Mar marks Andrés’ second Miami restaurant and sixth project within sbe. As culinary director, Andrés will also oversee food and beverage service for the property’s in-room dining program, mezzanine and pool bar.
The hotel also provides access to three pools as well as a hot and cold plunge, located on the property’s pool deck where guests can also find alfresco dining options and eight private cabana offerings. Guests and residents of the property will also gain complimentary VIP Beach access at SLS’s oceanfront property, SLS South Beach.
SLS Brickell is currently taking reservations for stays starting October 21, with exclusive pre-opening rates available through the end of the year. Standard room rates will begin at $319 and suites will start at $519.
