New York Resort Lays Off Up to 200

According to a recent article in the Glens Falls Post Star, a New York newspaper, the famed Sagamore resort in New York’s Adirondack Mountains is laying off up to 200 employees. Also, according to the article, General Manager Tom Guay said winter layoffs of 100 to 200 seasonal workers are not out of the norm; however, now 15 full-time, salaried associates have been laid off too.

The resort is also closing from January 4 through March, and, until the official reopening, the resort will welcome and service events, including holiday parties.
