Opening of Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma Delayed

Azul Hotels by Karisma, in the Riviera Maya, Mexico, recently announced that the opening of Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma is delayed until late fall. According to a written release,  the financial crisis and economy’s continued decline has adversely affected the official launch of Azul Fives Hotel, as with many other projects of its kind, impacting the availability of funds and subsequently, impeding the property’s completion.

“As such, after serious consideration and exhaustion of other alternatives, construction on Azul Fives Hotel was promptly halted,” according to the statement.

“We are resolutely committed to providing our guests and travel agent community with exceptional services and products,” said Mandy Chomat, vice president of sales and marketing at Premier Worldwide Marketing, the exclusive representative of Azul Hotels by Karisma in the release.  “While it’s dismaying that the current economic climate has hindered completion of Azul Fives Hotel, we are confident the Gourmet Inclusive property will exceed every expectation once opened.  In the meantime, our priority remains offering the utmost in customer satisfaction in all regards.”
