Now there's even more reason to visit Oregon. The Allison Inn & Spa, located 45 minutes from Portland in Oregon's wine country, has been accepted as a member of Preferred Boutique Hotels.  Slated to open in August 2009, The Allison will be the first Preferred Boutique Hotel in Oregon.

"The Allison will become the natural hub for Oregon wine tourism," said  Pierre Zreik, general manager of The Allison. Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country is currently home to nearly 300 wineries and produces some of America's most prized Pinot Noir.

Each of The Allison's 85 deluxe guest rooms and suites includes a terrace or balcony, a fireplace and original artwork. The Allison features a 15,000-square-foot spa with 12 treatment rooms and a private suite to accommodate small parties.

The 85-seat signature restaurant and bar, Jory, will have a private dining room for 10 guests and an eight-person chef's table in the open kitchen. Expect local ingredients, wines, microbrews and craft spirits.
